twitter-icon-300Organize and automate your Twitter efforts

Today my husband was laughing at me because he was watching me check my Tweet Deck for messages, and he couldn’t believe all of the things people were saying.

“Oh, holy…does that woman have her top off?” he asked.  Yes, yes, I had to block a woman who was not there for ‘learning’!!  So far I’ve only had to block 2 people that were not what I would call “professional” marketers.  Could be worse, I guess.

I have recently been very interested and really liking the Twitter set up and opportunity.  It can be addicting – but so far I have been really enjoying learning what other people have to offer and just laughing at some of the silliness that people share!

Here, however, I would like to offer several applications to make your Twitter experience more effective and to help it grow.

First is Tweet Deck – you can get this application straight from within your Twitter account and it is soooo awesome.  In organized columns, it allows you to see posts by the people you are following, plus  replies to your posts, plus Direct Messages, PLUS you can hook up your Facebook account and see what people post in it’s own column.  You can arrange it differently, set up columns to show specific Tweeters and you can also post your own message straight from the app!  Tweet Deck allows your posts can go to Twitter alone or Facebook or both.  Organizing Twitter has never been easier.

You might also consider joining www.socialtoo.com This site allows you to see who is following you back and automatically follow/unfollow those who do the same to you.

www.tweetlater.com has a similar function while also allowing you to schedule your ‘tweets’ and space them out in the future.  It also has a sort of autoresponder function that allows you to send immediate DM (Direct Messages) welcome message to those who follow you.  I can’t list all of the possible feature here – so you’d better check it out for yourself!  All of this so far is included in the free membership – you should see what the paid membership has to offer!

Following Mr. Tweet at www.mrtweet.net is very interesting.  They take a look at your following and then DM you with suggestions for online sites you should follow.  This can help you simplify the process of selecting good, relevant people to follow.

Next is www.twittergrader.com – this site grades people on their twitter action.  The idea is to follow people with a high grade – then you can re-tweet their tweets and provide added value to your presence.

If you have a lot going on; several sites with several business or personal names, then you will want to check out www.spittweet.com This will allow you to compile all of your Twitter ID’s into one place for easy tracking and viewing.  A real time saver!!

The last two suggestions for organizing Twitter are for www.friendfeed.com which will tie your Facebook and Twitter accounts together for you.  Post to one and it will show up on the other – again, cool!  And last is www.twitdom.com You can find every imaginable Twitter application here…but be warned!  Once you go to this site, you may never leave!  Have fun and make sure to follow me on twitter – just click the little birdie to the right!!

To your business,

Glenna Garcia
