Selecting A Niche & Registering A Domain

Selecting a niche does not have to be that difficult.  Often, it’s really just a matter of making a list of topics or subjects that you are either interested in or already have knowledge in.  Brainstorm as many ideas as you can think of, then go back over that list and weed out ones that will clearly not work.  Then you can go back over the list and look in Clickbank’s “Marketplace” to see if there are related products.  You’ll be surprised at how many different product niches there are in Clickbank’s massive marketplace!

Once you decide on a niche and find a product (or products!) to promote, you can then focus on looking at how much competition that niche has.  You will want to take a good look to see if the market is already saturated – because if it is a highly competitive niche, then you would probably do better to find a less crowded niche, where it will be more likely that you will succeed and do well.

You can do this by conducting a bit of keyword research and taking a look at the sites that are currently ranking on the first page of Google as results.  If those sites are well done, professional, highly optimized and well monetized, it is not a good sign for you.

If that doesn’t sound like too much fun – a tool that can greatly help you with this step is Niche Reaper.  This tool pulls niche ideas off of the internet 24/7 and allows you to see exactly which niches you have a chance at really succeeding in.  Not only that, it also helps you to see related keywords so that you can know right away what kind of content your site should have.  Take a look at this overview video showing you a part of what the product can do:

According to the product creators and owners, Matt Garrett & Gary Prendergast:

“The biggest problem facing many beginner and intermediate Internet Marketers is knowing what makes a profitable niche and how to choose the right one…

Niche Reaper researches over 20,000 brand new keywords every single day. It scores and color codes them based on a variety of factors – Google Page 1 ranking opportunities, monthly value, available keywords domains and FaceBack pages.

Keywords are grouped together in to relevant “Niches” with the “depth” (no of available qualified keywords) and estimated traffic volume and monthly values for each niche. Now your members can own entire markets instead of fighting it out on individual keywords.

No more Google Keywords, no more Market Samurai, no more keywords research. All they need to do is get on with building their sites and  fanpages to catch the available traffic and monetize it.

Full training tutorial videos will be included for step-by-step instructions on how to build profitable websites, blogs and fan pages, as well as how to drive traffic to those web properties, AND different ways to monetize them.”

Can you see how useful this tool is? Are you able to grasp how much time this is going to save you?  I’ve been amazed at how well this software tool works and am so happy to recommend it to you.  Their training videos are very clear and concise – covering topics like:

  • Your First Niche Site
  • Your Facebook Fanpages
  • Leveraging Twitter
  • The Art of Traffic
  • Monetization

So no matter what – you are covered and have the information and help you need to get started and make money online.  Take a closer look at what this tool can do for you by clicking on the banner below.

Registering a Domain

When it comes to registering a domain name – there is no better domain registrar than NameCheap.  In my opinion, they are far and above others in both their pricing and ease of use.  They even have a complete lineup of video tutorials so that, no matter the situation or your level of expertise, you will always know what to do to manage your account and domains!  Take a look at this screen shot of some of the helpful videos they offer:

And seriously – that is only about 1/4 of the videos on that page in the ‘Support’ section of Domain Registrations starting at $9.98*their site.  They are very good at what they do and offer a range of services to help you stay on top of your domains.  They are a must if you plan on operating several affiliate sites for your online business.

I’ve been using them for almost 2 years and have seen the changes they have made along the way.  They are dedicated to offering the best prices, best services and best support.  So far, they have proven themselves on all points as far as I’m concerned.  You won’t go wrong when you register your domain with NameCheap.
